Pension reform: will your money work for you in the future?
From January 2026, some residents will be able to submit requests to withdraw funds accumulated in the second pillar pension system, and payouts will begin in April 2026.
For many, this will be the first time they have the opportunity to decide for themselves what to do with their accumulated capital. The most commonly considered three options are:
- spend it on purchases;
- keep it as savings in a bank account;
- continue investing.
More and more people are choosing the third option – investing. However, not everyone has yet decided where to allocate these funds.
One of the investment alternatives can be offered by the Profitus platform. Profitus investors finance business loans secured by real estate. This means that the invested funds are used to finance real estate projects.
Currently, projects are being financed in four countries:
- Lithuania
- Latvia
- Estonia
- Spain
Investors on the platform achieve an average annual return of around 10%, and over the entire period of operation, more than €23 million in interest has already been paid out to investors.
When investing on the Profitus platform, an important principle is also investment diversification. Investors can distribute their capital across different projects and countries, thereby forming a more balanced investment portfolio.
Therefore, before making a decision regarding pension funds, it is worth considering one simple question: will this money be spent today, or can it work for you in the future?
We invite you to review the currently funded projects on the Profitus platform.
Please note that investing involves risk.
