Experts’ Forecasts, Advice, and Lessons for Those Seeking Financial Freedom
On May 12, the conference “Investing 2026” took place and was available free of charge to all readers interested in wealth-building topics on the vz.lt portal. Nearly twenty speakers discussed not only geopolitical circumstances and macro trends, but also various investment methods, personal portfolio growth strategies, and modern financial tools.
The conference program included insights into investing in a world of geopolitical crises, the risks of technology investment euphoria, advice on how to wisely reallocate capital, how to determine and achieve a personal financial freedom number, why income growth is more important than portfolio optimization, when crowdfunding can be beneficial, the advantages of an investment account, and, of course, where artificial intelligence can already be relied upon in these steps. Presentations were delivered and discussions held by nearly twenty investors, lawyers, and financial experts.
The first part of the conference focused on current and relevant presentations, while the second part featured experienced investors sharing their lessons and insights gained over many years.
The “Investing 2026” conference is organized by “Verslo žinios” together with “Finora Bank” and “Profitus.” A recording of the event can be viewed here.
The crowdfunding market in Lithuania is highly advanced, ranking third in Europe. According to Miglė Grybinienė, Head of Marketing at “Profitus,” crowdfunding has been operating in Lithuania for a decade, yet its growth continues to accelerate and is expected to increase further. Changes in pension reform have also significantly boosted public interest. Many people are consciously directing withdrawn funds toward their future, and crowdfunding is often among the first investment options they choose. Although investing is commonly associated with working-age professionals building careers, it can also be attractive for children and seniors alike. Crowdfunding, in particular, is a flexible investment tool that can be adapted to different needs and life goals.
“At different stages of life, not only do our financial opportunities change, but also our risk tolerance, need for security, and the purpose of investing. For children, investing can become their first lesson in financial literacy; for working-age individuals, it is a way to grow capital and build financial security; and in later years, it becomes a tool for maintaining stability and protecting accumulated savings from depreciation. Investing today is no longer reserved only for the wealthy or financial experts — thanks to technology, it has become accessible and understandable to everyone,” says M. Grybinienė.
