The “Supernamai / SA.LT” 2026 exhibition, taking place on September 25–27 at LITEXPO in Vilnius, has long outgrown the format of a traditional engineering exhibition. This year, its second hall – dedicated to architecture and design – will become a meeting place where future homeowners and those interested in urban environments can engage with experts discussing urban planning, architectural quality, and the real estate market.

On Friday, September 25, the second hall will host the Urban Planning Forum initiated by the Lithuanian Chamber of Architects, one of the most significant urban planning events of the year. On Saturday, the stage will be taken over by real estate market participants, featuring presentations, discussions, and direct conversations with developers, financiers, and investment consultants.

Urban Planning Forum: Urbanism as an Economic Driver

The forum begins with a question that is increasingly relevant in the context of Lithuanian urban development: do current urban planning guidelines truly reflect urban planning principles, or are they merely documents lacking substantive urban planning content?

Irena Kliobavičiūtė and former Chief Architect of Vilnius Mindaugas Pakalnis will discuss which aspects are essential in urban planning guidelines and why their absence can become costly over time—not only for cities but also for investors and residents.

There will be no shortage of success stories. Rytis Račkauskas will share the experience of Panevėžys’ urban revival, while Džiugas Lukoševičius will present the urban planning model of Malmö, which has become a Scandinavian benchmark for creating high-quality cities and public spaces.

Practical workshops will be organized for chief city architects. Their goal is to identify the unique characteristics of each city that must be reflected in planning guidelines so that local identity is not lost beneath layers of standardized solutions.

Urban Planning: The Science That Shapes the Real Estate Market

The highlight of the day will be a discussion examining urban planning as a discipline that influences real estate market prices.

Real estate analyst Arnoldas Antanavičius, also known as the Head of Business Development for the Latvian and Estonian markets at Profitus, together with members of the Lithuanian Chamber of Architects Council, will discuss how the quality of a city’s master plan directly determines which areas will attract successful developments and where real estate projects may become financially unviable.

Representatives of Vilnius Development Company, a municipally owned organization responsible for many of the city’s largest public infrastructure projects, will also participate. Their contribution will provide valuable insights from one of the key players shaping the capital’s development.

Saturday: Real Estate Market, Financing, Investment, and Developers

On Saturday, the discussion area will shift its focus to market participants and property buyers.

The crowdfunding platform Profitus, well known among investors in real estate projects, will present its business model and investment opportunities. The topic of real estate financing is relevant both to professionals and private buyers, as the way projects are financed during development directly impacts both the final price and the reliability of the project.

“Investing in real estate is one of the most stable and reliable forms of investment. However, many people associate it with enormous sums of money and large development companies. We are changing this perception by expanding opportunities for individuals to participate in real estate development projects,” says Miglė Grybinienė, Head of Marketing at Profitus.

Representatives of the LKU Credit Union Group will present financing opportunities available through credit unions. The growth of the credit union sector in recent years has allowed many people to choose an alternative to traditional bank lending—one that is more flexible and closer to the individual. The exhibition offers prospective homeowners the opportunity to explore a wider range of financing options and choose the solution best suited to their needs.

What Kind of Home Are Buyers Looking For?

The exhibition halls will feature not only participant presentations, real estate market analyses, and discussions about investment opportunities, but also a strong focus on the visitor: what is a person actually looking for when purchasing a home?

Buyer expectations and developer realities do not always align. This is something anyone who has tried to reconcile their vision with what the market offers understands well.

The real estate developer HOMA will openly discuss this topic. Having worked with more than a thousand buyers over the past 13 years, the company has extensive knowledge of customer expectations and needs. Discussions will explore how development projects can be better aligned with interior design, where collaboration processes tend to break down, and how cooperation between developers, architects, and designers can be improved to meet the expectations of future homeowners.

Throughout the weekend, visitors will be able to receive consultations from interior designers in the “Materials Library” area located in the second hall.

In addition, visitors will have the opportunity to interact with the architectural studio Archikubas.

Architects will be available throughout the exhibition to help visitors take the first step toward their dream home. Those planning construction, renovation, or simply unsure where to begin will be able to discuss their initial ideas and questions with professionals.
