Profitus CEO Lina Maskoliūnė: An Interview on the Company’s Journey, Strong Position in the Crowdfunding Market, and Future Expansion Plans

The crowdfunding platform Profitus has successfully secured leadership in the Lithuanian market and is rapidly expanding into Latvia, Estonia, and Spain, with our ambitions and goals continuing to grow. Our CEO, Lina Maskoliūnė, recently gave an in-depth interview where she discussed not only Profitus’ journey from its early days to the present but also reviewed the key aspects of the company’s operations. Currently, Profitus holds about 25% of the Lithuanian crowdfunding market, allowing us to maintain a strong competitive position and continue growing. During the interview, Lina Maskoliūnė emphasized that in 2023, projects worth €59 million were financed through our platform, and we are aiming for even greater results in 2024.

 

Future Growth Plans: New Markets and Technological Innovations

One of the key topics Lina Maskoliūnė discussed was the future growth plans. Profitus is not limited to the Lithuanian market – the platform is already expanding into Latvia, Estonia, and Spain, where we plan to significantly increase the volume of funded projects. Our expansion strategies are based on thorough market analysis, and one of the most important success factors is our innovative technological platform, which meets the needs of both investors and project owners.

Lina also spoke about the platform’s compliance with the European Union's crowdfunding license (ECSP) requirements, which brought significant changes to the market. Following these changes, there are fewer platforms operating in Lithuania, but Profitus continues to strengthen its position due to its adherence to the highest standards.

 

Investment Opportunities and Financial Growth

Profitus' goal is to provide everyone, regardless of their investment portfolio size, the opportunity to profit from the real estate market. Most of our investors are small investors, with an average investment of around €650. Lina emphasized during the interview that the participation of small investors is a crucial part of our success, but we are also growing in the larger investor segment. Currently, we plan for up to 40% of our projects in 2024 to be financed by large investors.
