Taking into account COVID-19 virus situation in the country and healthcare workers' entreaties, the crowdfunding platform Profitus joined Go Vilnius and Vilnius government's request to help the healthcare workers and provide the hospital with the necessary protective equipment. Money for this project has been started to be collected on the crowdfunding platform (profitus.lt).
Profitus founder Viktorija Vanage says that financial support for Vilnius government hospital can be given from 5 euros, and every fee of money transaction will be covered by the platform, therefore, every single cent will go directly to buy protective equipment for doctors.
'We see the country's situation and we know that the doctors need help, therefore, we became partners with Vilnius' government, Go Vilnius. The capital at this moment faces the biggest COVID-19 challenge so the aim of this support - is to assist Vilnius in solving one of the most important questions at this moment: providing Vilnius region medical institutions with the missing inventory as well as personal protective gear that are necessary for a fight with the COVID-19 virus. Everyone, who donates, will contribute towards solving this problem- - says V. Vanage.
Director of Go Vilnius, Inga Romanovskiene, also encourages to join and is grateful for business co-operation in such an important period for everyone.
'We are happy that businesses co-operate during such a challenging period. Such incentives are very important, so the necessary protective gear or necessary medical equipment would reach the doctors as soon as possible' - says Go Vilnius director.
The idea came from staff
Profitus director says that the idea of raising money to donate was introduced by team members. It is the first social project for the Lithuanian start-up. Until now all the projects on the platform aimed to earn money and raise money for businesses.
'The idea of raising money for a social cause was introduced by Profitus team members. Crowdfunding isn't only a tool to earn money, it is also a great opportunity to unite and develop communities for social causes. Crowdfunding was founded primarily as a tool to raise donations, and now as we have Profitus platform, with the help of technologies, we can fastly and easily with donated money help the medical staff who are fighting the virus'. - claims V. Vanage.
The founder of the crowdfunding platform together with Vilnius government invites to join everyone, not only ordinary people but also businesses and real estate developers. You can donate just from 5 euros. Together we can win the fight against COVID-19 faster. The best time to unite!
